Amazing❤️

This pattern doesn't get enough attention! I love that slit and the elastic waistband. Unfortunately, I live in the north, so I can't wear it all year round. This skirt is an absolute favorite of mine!

My first dresses!

I have made four dresses now. I love them! My previous experience with sewing is quilting and circle skirts. My first dress was a Rossi in cotton and I messed up the princess seams and ended up with boobs under my armpits! Lol! Watch the instructions videos. That would have helped me the first time but I was too excited and went too fast. My second one was a Freddy with short puff sleeves in cotton. This one is where I watched the videos and went slower. The third one was a Freddy with long shirred sleeves and the fabric came from Africa! The fourth one was a Rossi for my daughter and she wanted it shorter with a sweetheart neck. I plan to learn the Gracie and am starting a Charlotte. Thank you for these patterns! With love, Rachel.

Love this pattern and skirt!

This pattern is great! So easy to follow and incredibly versatile depending on what fabric /slit vs no slit. I used cotton linen and chose the slit version and will be making more!

I made the Rossi Dress, and I was a bit shocked at first when I realised the pattern was around 70 pages to print and assemble! 😂 I quickly decided to invest in the A0 print option, and it was definitely the best decision.
There are so many options to customise the dress and make it your own, which I really loved. I’m so happy with the finished result—it’s one of those dresses you can effortlessly throw on when you can’t decide what to wear, and it always looks great!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

This is the second dress I had ever created and it was much more complicated than the first (simple cocoon dress). I found all of it to be easy to follow except the pocket construction which I think has been fixed. If you know how to put pockets in, do what you know rather than the complicated way that was in the instructions. I wish it were just a tad longer, but I’m going to fix that with this next one in the thrifted duvet cover I found that will be perfect! I’m going to try the deep V neck this time with the slit!
For size reference I made size 30, but it was far too big in the top, planning to make a 22 this next time. And the ties are just a tad short for us rounder women, so if you are a true 30 in this dress you will need to add quite a bit of length to the ties!

And yes, you are right - the pattern has now been fully updated with a much easier pocket construction rather than the more serious industry standard way of construction we learnt at uni! This new way still looks the exact same but much easier xx I am glad you loved your sew! To get your correct size to make, follow the 'find your size' page in the instructions PDF to simply measure and get your size.
