Such a fun dress making project

Wow! How much fun was this. I needed something special for a wedding, but I’m not much of a dress wearer…. But this style felt such a nice dress that could be dressed up or down. I did a trial run with a bed sheet from a thrift store (too late discover the kate spade label 😳), and then I decided to make a short fun one for casual wear and my final fancy frock for the wedding. I had so many lovely comments, and felt a million dollars and a little bit naughty in it!

I came across a video of this pattern in Instagram and spent almost 2 months thinking about it. Then I finally decided to give it a go, and bought the pattern. I made my Gracie from a second hand duvet cover I bought for 1€, and the result is beautiful! Such an easy pattern to sew, great instructions and the video guide was great! I love all the different variations I’ll be able to make using the customisation options, and I’ll definitely be making the Lydia blouse too! I love love love this pattern, thank you!! ❤️❤️
